Rates and list of service:

Types of shoots that I can shoot include (not limited to, please ask if you have a specific style you want shot.) :

•Genres marked with an asterisk “ * ” are priced via a package and have set pricing. - pricing for these packages will be announced shortly however should you need a shoot done beforehand contact me so I can work with you on a price until then!

HOW WORK WILL BE GIVEN

-Your photographs will either be on a onedrive folder or will be sent via WeTransfer to your email (files expire in 7 days to prevent any theft of files)

• USB Can be provided for additional cost (+$20) unless you bring your own (no cost)

• File storage- I will only keep files on hand for a period of 1 month (30 days ) you have unlimited requests for retrieval in that period.
  
  PAYMENT

• -Payment is to be paid at the latest on or before the invoice due date and I will guarantee work turnaround on the invoiced due date or before it - please do not pay before the job date (invoice period)

  - Photographs will not be handed over until the invoice balance is paid in full.

• -Invoices + Quotes will be done via HNRY so will payment (one option)

• I also accept cash payments however digital payment is preferred.

Please note I do not provide prints or framing. Only digital files via USB or cloud storage link

Mediums/ Methods of shooting:
1. Digital DSLR

2. analogue SLR (35mm film)

•RATES(Hourly rate+ editing fee)

(Hourly rates apply for genres which are not in set packages and can take long hours and require a longer timeframe of shooting and editing)

These fees for general photography services not inclusive for large scale events (ie weddings) please contact for a quote.

2 hours $250+ $80 editing fee +GST

3 hours $350+ $100 editing fee +GST

4 hours $450+ $100 editing fee +GST

5 hours $550+ $150 editing fee +GST

6 hours $650+ $200 editing fee +GST

7 hours + Available upon request rate will be calculated accordingly + editing fee + GST

+$50 for .5 hours of shooting

Please understand I try to keep my costs fair, I charge an editing fee as there is a lot of work that goes into editing photos and I try to keep the fees as low as I can.

- NOTE: it is also possible for me to provide raw images only as a raw file (unformatted) hourly fee is the same however the editing fee will not be applied on your invoice.


DEPOSITS:

• A 20% non-refundable deposit required for day shoots (6+ hours) to cover loss of business as that spot is reserved for you.

• Additional service fees:
  - If 35mm analogue SLR Film photography is the medium of choice a $35 (per roll) development fee is applicable to cover the costs of film development

  - Cost of roll (per roll) is also charged the exact number is dependent on the type of film

  Current selection of films include:
  Kodak Portra 400 (Colour film) : $30 per roll

  Ilford HP5 Plus 400 Black and White (B+W Film) : $25 per roll

  • - $25 developing fees

  -Travel Fees/ Callout fee

  I am a Sydney based photographer, any job outside of the Sydney metropolitan area will be subject to a travel fee

  -$60 for Blue Mountains/ Central Coast/ Past Campbelltown by a radius of 20km

  -$80 for anywhere 80km drive outside of Sydney

  -$200 for anywhere in NSW 100+ km from Sydney

  -$300 for ACT/ Canberra

  -$500 for interstate.

• I do not own a studio or lease my own studio so if an outsourced studio session is required (due to size of job)I will need to charge the cost of the rental fee as part of the invoice unless you book your own and I arrive on the job.

  •Invoicing/ Deposits

  A non refundable deposit will be charged for all day shoots. (Refer above)

  I charge this deposit to reserve the date and time for the client and do not take any reservations for your slot due to the deposit being paid. In the event of a cancellation all money paid in a deposit will be retained by me in order to offset loss of business.

• Storage/archive

  I will archive your photos for 6-12 months max

  Retrieval after that will cost $100

  
  
  
  *Please Note:

• - Please note pricing of the final invoice is fixed but if a client decides to change the nature of the job criteria I reserve the right to adjust the price to match the amount of labour.

  1. Example of things that deem a change in the job criteria include but are not limited to:

     1. increased shooting time. If the shooting time has been increased from what was initially planned and I have space to shoot for longer I will charge more hours if additional time is more than an hour. (Base quoted hourly rate stays the same.)

     2. increased working time if the shoot goes over the amount of time. I will charge half hourly and add that to the editing fee also.

     3. Change of location.

     4. Change of brief

     5. Need for studio hire etc.

Terms and Conditions- Photography

These terms and conditions can be varied at any time, with or without notice to you. You must be read in Conjunction with these terms and conditions.

1. All pictures taken are my intellectual and creative and artistic property. Photo credit must be given if for business related posts (Photographed by Geoffrey Huang) or add handle @geoffshoots

   • You must not redistribute the work as stock images or sell this image for profit without my consent and I can use all the photos I have taken as images for my portfolio. I will pursue legal action if you violate my creative intellectual property rights.

   • Unless the work for marketing purposes all commercial photographs shot by me must not be used as such or for profit.

2. A 15% NON REFUNDABLE deposit must be paid to secure the appointment rest to be paid upon completion of job.

   I reserved the right to charge a non-refundable deposit as I reserve the time and date for the paying client and in the event of a cancellation it helps offsets the costs for loss of business.

3. In the event of the job criteria being changed by a client I reserve the right to be able to adjust pricing to match the labour.

2. Artist/ Art Student Package Offer.

(Also Eligible for Fashion Students)

For fine art related commercial photography (documentary) I offer an Artist/Art student Package special to support my fellow fine artists and art students. I know first hand how tough it can be and I hope this concession helps makes being an artist easier! This package exists to provide photography services for artists to shoot professional quality shots of their body of works, studio spaces and profile photos for your artist and art gallery catalogues.
This offer is available only to practicing artists, students taking a higher education fine arts course or visual arts course at a recognised art school, tertiary institution or TAFE (trade school)*

*From 25th of November the student package offer also extends to fashion students who need collections shot*

Rate:

For the Artist package, each job is divided into 2 categories:

Practicing artist: $385

($280+ $70 editing fee for 3 hours worth of shooting and editing

+ $35 GST )

Extra time: $100 per hour ever

(70+$30 editing fee for every hour over the 3 hour shoot time +$10 GST)

Art Student + Fashion student:

$230+ $50 editing fee for 3 hours worth of shooting and editing.+ $28 GST

Extra time:
+$30+ $20 editing fee every hour over the 3 hour shoot time + $5 GST

From May 7th 2023- These prices will be GST exclusive.*

Each package includes:

- Portrait shots and shots of the artist in their studio space for catalogues

- high quality professional documentation of your work.

optional (no extra cost):

- Shots of your studio space for your catalogue or website, magazine feature etc.

*Please be aware that any extras (studio hire)will be added on top of the flat rate and are not included

*Please note on all photoshoots (including the Artist Package Concession Offer) deposits are still required when undertaking my services.
